Keeping our community beautiful and safe for people, pets and surrounding nature is a great way for us all to connect and enjoy the coming spring. Make Me Brand New takes care of the planning and adds elements of fun, inspiration and teamwork to the cleanup making it a memorable event where you'll leave feeling impactful.

Creativity meets sustainability in the Eco Art Tent! Join Anna Murfin and Angie to turn junk mail into beautiful upcycled postcards, then contribute to a stunning community mosaic led by Catherine from The Artsy Cat. Using glass and ceramic pieces collected from our neighborhoods, we’ll create a meaningful piece of functional art that symbolizes coming together for a greener future. Plus, don’t miss our locally made keychains, crafted from #2 plastics collected by us, for us then crafted right here on the South Shore by plastic recycler Keith Tibbetts. Stop by, get creative, and take home a piece of inspiration!

We're proud to share that the Mass Cultural Council awarded us the Creative Experiences Grant to bring our cleanup and celebration back for a second year. This also enabled us to add local artists who can bring sustainable creativity to life and add another element to the event and how it benefits our community.

Thank you to each of our sponsors for supporting all the little things that go into this event behind the scenes from providing volunteers and meeting spaces to covering expenses such as moving vehicles and equipment, insurance, recycling processing fees, gloves, t-shirts, prizes and so much more. We hope to see you again in 2025 as we welcome even more of the community for an impactful Earth Day cleanup.

Making a Measurable Impact Together

Make Me Brand New goes beyond a traditional town cleanup by turning it into a celebration of sustainability. We invite businesses in the town to share how they reduce waste and respect our local resources, share some tips and tricks of our own, offer over a dozen recycling categories on-site, host individual and team challenges to collect across those different categories and so much more.

The planning period for the 2025 cleanup in Whitman, MA is in full swing. If you missed our March 2 planning meeting, there is still time to jump in and help with getting the word out and signing people up for the cleanup.
